Williamson County Order Modification & Enforcement Attorney

Rippy, Henderson & Taylor, LLP understands that many clients encounter issues after a divorce has been finalized and that changes to divorce orders may need to occur years after the divorce has settled. Similarly, the need for judicial enforcement of court orders may also be required. Our firm represents clients during requests for modification and enforcement of court orders. Reach out to one of our lawyers to arrange a free consultation to discuss your concerns about child custody/child support modifications and enforcement. Rippy, Henderson & Taylor, LLP encourages communication in the attorney-client relationship via email and phone calls. Let us know if you need help with your Texas divorce.

Modifications to Child Support and Custody

Our law firm in Williamson County represents clients who wish to make post-settlement modifications, as well as those clients who oppose any post-settlement modifications. The need for modification arises because of a material change in condition. A material change can include a new job, a return to school, the loss of a job, or relocation to another part of the state or county. The court will generally take into consideration the wishes of the child, as well as his or her best interests, when evaluating the request for modification. If a request for modification is highly contested, the courts may require the parties to participate in counseling sessions.

Enforcement of Court Orders

When the final divorce decree is handed down, both parties are required to comply with the orders given. Our firm helps clients who encounter the need for enforcement because an ex-spouse is not honoring the terms of the divorce. Issues that need to be enforced generally involve child support and child custody. Many people who are not receiving child support payments withhold visitation rights from the non-paying parent. However, custody and visitation arrangements must be followed--even when the other party is not paying court-ordered support. If you need assistance with enforcement of court orders, our firm can help by filing a motion for enforcement.

Contact our firm, at 888-463-0690, to learn how we can enforce your court orders today.

Our firm works closely with clients to understand their objectives. We seek resolutions which make the parents happy and provide for the well-being of the children.
